Summary of the final regulatory action:

This pesticide has not been registered for use in Trinidad and Tobago because of its highly toxic nature. As a result the pesticides and toxic chemicals control board has prohibited the manufacture, importation, trade and use of Binapacryl. This is in keeping with provisions under the pesticides and toxic chemicals control. act 1979 and the pesticides regulations of 1987.

Summary of known hazards and risks to human health:

Binapacryl is a dinitrophenol pesticide which is highly toxic to humans and animals. Nitrophenols specially are toxic to the liver, kidney and nervous system, so it must have its use regulated.

To aid in more stringent regulatory control regarding the registration, importation and use of this pesticide

This pesticide is highly toxic to aquatic organisms
